NY Times using E Ink

The newspaper will be celebrating its 75th anniversary by releasing a cover that blinks “the 21st Century Begins Now” in E Ink, (and will have a digital Ford advertisement on the inside cover.) Be forewarned to all those seeking a piece of history, “All the news that’s fit to print” will only be available in blinking E Ink for 100,000 of the newspaper’s regular 720,000 paper circulation.

WordPress iPhone App

This morning WordPress released an iPhone application on the iTunes App Store. This is my first post via the native application.

We Can Solve It

I appreciate the work being done by the Alliance for Climate Protection, but for me the logo for their new “We Can Solve It” campaign bears a frightening similarity to ghosts of the dotBOMB.

My iPhone 2.0 Favorites

My two favorite features from the software upgrade of my iPhone are the transforming scientific calculator and the Remote iPhone app. (Remote is quickly becoming my preferred method for interacting with my Apple TV.)

Tufte and the iPhone

With the newest iteration of iPhone coming out this Friday, I thought it be interesting to revisit Edward Tufte’s review of the iPhone. This video illustrates how Apple “solved the problem of small screens by greatly intensifying the information resolution of each displayed page.”
