As a rule, I have always encrypted my personal files with PGP Disk or Apple’s Encrypted Disk images. With the government now challenging our digital 5th amendment rights, should everybody start doing the same?

Pretty Good Privacy is celebrating 15 years of public encryption. Philip Zimmerman – who gave us PGP in 1991 – is one of a group of people that fought to share encryption with the masses.
