What’s with the frakkin’ bookmarks?

This morning I was flattered by my good friend, who named me one of “10 Technology Blogs You Didn’t Know About“. Sounds like it’s time to adhere to my resolution to continue regular posts, and re-brand my blog.

John Hughes (1950 – 2009)

I challenge you to not know a line, or scene from one of John Hughes’s Chicago-centric classic movies – National Lampoon’s Vacation, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, or Home Alone.

Walter Cronkite (1916 – 2009)

Walter Cronkite earned his reputation from the battlefields of WW II, to the moon landing, and even to Walt Disney World. Today we lost the “most trusted man in America,” and “that’s the way it is.”

Wayne Allwine (1947 – 2009)

Only three men have voiced the character of Mickey Mouse, and the most recent Wayne Allwine has fallen silent. He is survived by his wife Russi Taylor, who coincidentally is the voice of Minnie Mouse.

Contrarian Views

As an abstract thought people appreciate opposing viewpoints, but the reality is that few people appreciate a contrarian view. Freeman Dyson is highly regarded as one of the great minds of the 20th Century and he’s being ostracized, because he’s expressed a differing opinion on Global Warming.
