My local Cingular store told me the only aspect of the two-year iPhone contract Apple didn’t change - your upgrade discount. It seems Apple might want you to be able to upgrade to a newer AT&T handset, when you get frustrated with the slow EDGE service and return your iPhone.

If you haven’t noticed yet, Safari 3 supports Google Apps where its predecessor was never compatible. If Safari 3 turns out to be the web rendering engine for the iPhone, does this mean that discussions between Apple and Google have led to an office suite for the new device?

Isn’t it amazing how far computers have come? Instead of worrying about overcoming computers crashing several times a day, we’ve got concerns about keeping the iPhone stable!
