Are we really at the point where we can’t tell the difference between Guerrilla Advertising and Guerrilla Warfare? Turner Broadcasting’s campaign has been running for 3 weeks in a dozen cities, but suddenly Boston is seeing “insurgent activities.” |

Sir:
Did it possibly occur to you that emergency responders don’t have time or the interest to watch the Cartoon Network or the “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” show. They accept things as they find them and MUST deal with them without any past knowledge of “Guerrilla Advertising.” The rule is…if it looks like a bomb…it is one…until proven otherwise.

I absolutely agree. This post wasn’t a commentary on how Boston’s emergency responders did there job. I apologize if it was interpreted that way.
The intent of the post was that we have to live in a world now to take *everything* seriously. In fact, I might even commend the city of Boston for acting appropriately. In almost a dozen other cities, these advertising activities weren’t even a blip on the radar.
